This year we are celebrating our 25th anniversary having formed the company in 1991.

Mivan Far East, as the company was called then, began business with an out sourced manufacturing facility in Ipoh, some 200km outside Kuala Lumpur and in 1993 moved to an industrial estate in Sungai Buloh (24km from KL), utilizing 3 factory units, which over the years increased to 21 units.
Last year we moved into our new, state of the art factory in Port Klang, Malaysia with a current manufacturing capacity of over 80,000m2 of formwork per month.

Sunrise Berhad was our main customer in the early days and together Sunrise & Mivan built up a reputation of producing very high quality of residential buildings.

Today we work in over 36 countries, have over 1,250 employees and build 1 new home in India, every 7 minutes.

In 2007, following a management buyout, the company’s name changed from Mivan Far East to MFE Formwork Technology and we have brought into the industry many innovations and lead the way in terms of quality of product and quality of service.

But without a very dedicated staff, some have been with us for 25 years, we certainly would not be where we are now. Special mention must go to Mervyn McCall one of the founders of Mivan and also Jim Laughlin who was our MD through, good and bad times for many years.
